All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.

All those who wouldn’t obey the Lord, the God of Israel, would be killed. It wouldn’t matter how important they were. It wouldn’t matter whether they were men or women.

but that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman.

在耶和華外祭他神者、必翦滅之、

凡敬畏主者、無論大小、主必降福、

以利亞謂之曰、爾曹可執巴力之諸先知、勿使一人逃遁、遂執之、以利亞攜至基順溪、盡殺之、

惟彼先知或作夢者、既以言教爾違逆主爾之天主、即導爾出伊及贖爾於為奴之地者、誘爾離主爾天主所命爾行之道、則必殺之、除爾中之惡、○如爾同母之兄弟、或爾子女、或爾愛妻、或爾密友、暗誘爾曰、我儕莫若往事異邦之神、此神即爾與爾祖素所未識者、即爾四周諸國之民所事之神、或離爾近、或離爾遠、自地此極至地彼極、爾毋從之、毋聽之、爾目毋顧惜之、毋矜恤之、毋隱其尤、必殺毋赦、殺之之時、爾先擊之、民後擊之、當以石擊之死、因欲誘爾違逆主爾之天主、即自伊及爾為奴之地導爾出者、以色列眾聞之必畏懼、不復行若是之惡事於爾中、○主爾之天主所賜爾居之諸邑、爾若聞一邑中有匪類出、誘其邑之民曰、我儕莫若往事異邦之神、即爾素所未識之神、

如爾中或男或女、或宗族、或支派、今日心棄主我之天主、往事此諸邦之神、若有苦毒之根、生於爾中、

在爾曹間、在主爾之天主所賜爾無論何邑中、如有男女作惡於主前、違背主約、往奉事崇拜異邦之神、或日月、或天象星辰、為我所禁者、原文作非我所命者人告爾、爾聞之、則必詳細考察、如得其實、果有此可惡之事行於以色列中、則必將行此惡之男或女、攜於邑門、以石擊死此男或女、

然我蒙天主祐、至今猶存、在尊者卑者前作證、所言無非諸先知及摩西預言、將來必有之事、

我又見死者、若大若小、立於寶座前、有書開展、又別有一書開展、即生命之書、死者皆憑書所錄、按其行為而受審判、

況天主哉、不偏視王公、不異待貧富、蓋皆其手所造、

至夜半、主擊凡伊及國所有長子、自居王位法老之長子、至獄中俘囚之長子、以及首生之牲畜、

在彼尊卑同居、奴脫於主人之轄、

且使眾於門外、自老到幼、目矇不明、索門不得、

世上諸王、大夫、將軍、富人、有權者、為奴者、自主者、皆匿於洞穴山巖、
