All those who wouldn’t obey the Lord, the God of Israel, would be killed. It wouldn’t matter how important they were. It wouldn’t matter whether they were men or women.

They agreed that anyone who refused to seek the Lord, the God of Israel, would be put to death— whether young or old, man or woman.

Whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel would be put to death, young or old, man or woman.

“ Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the Lord alone, shall be devoted to destruction.

he will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great.

Your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people.You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.And all Israel shall hear and fear and never again do any such wickedness as this among you.“ If you hear in one of your cities, which the Lord your God is giving you to dwell there,that certain worthless fellows have gone out among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying,‘ Let us go and serve other gods,’ which you have not known,then you shall inquire and make search and ask diligently. And behold, if it be true and certain that such an abomination has been done among you,you shall surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword, devoting it to destruction, all who are in it and its cattle, with the edge of the sword.

Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the Lord our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit,

“ If there is found among you, within any of your towns that the Lord your God is giving you, a man or woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, in transgressing his covenant,and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun or the moon or any of the host of heaven, which I have forbidden,and it is told you and you hear of it, then you shall inquire diligently, and if it is true and certain that such an abomination has been done in Israel,then you shall bring out to your gates that man or woman who has done this evil thing, and you shall stone that man or woman to death with stones.

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.

who shows no partiality to princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock.

The small and the great are there, and the slave is free from his master.

And they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, both small and great, so that they wore themselves out groping for the door.

Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,
