他對猶大人說：「我們要修築城邑，在四周建造城牆和望樓，裝置大門和門閂。我們仍擁有這片土地，是因為我們尋求我們的上帝耶和華；我們尋求祂，祂就賜我們四境平安。」於是，他們修築城邑，凡事順利。

他对犹大人说：“我们要建造这些城邑，四围筑墙，盖楼，安门，做闩；地还属我们，是因寻求耶和华我们的神；我们既寻求他，他就赐我们四境平安。”于是建造城邑，诸事亨通。

他對猶大人說：『我們要修造這些城，讓四圍有牆，有譙樓，有門，有閂；地還在我們手下，因為我們尋求永恆主我們的上帝；我們既尋求他，他就使我們四面平靜。』於是他們就修造，而且很順利。

亞撒謂猶大人曰、我儕當建斯邑、周築城垣、建樓、置門與楗、地尚屬我、因我尋求我上帝耶和華、既尋求之、則賜我四境平康、於是建築順利、

王告猶大人曰、我曾求我上帝耶和華、賜四方平康、國家無事、當及時築城垣、建樓、作門楗、百姓樂從、國以艾安。

亞撒謂猶大人曰、我儕當建此數邑、環築城垣、建樓、作門與楗、國仍歸於我儕、國仍歸於我儕原文作國仍在我儕前因我儕尋求主我之天主、既尋求之、主我之天主、賜我四境平康、於是建築城邑、無不亨通、

“ Let us build up these towns,” he said to Judah,“ and put walls around them, with towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God; we sought him and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

“ Let’s build up our towns,” Asa said to the people of Judah.“ Let’s put walls around them. Let’s provide them with towers. Let’s make them secure with gates that have heavy metal bars. The land still belongs to us. That’s because we’ve trusted in the Lord our God. We trusted in him, and he has given us peace and rest on every side.” So they built. And things went well for them.

And he said to Judah,“ Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the Lord our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Asa told the people of Judah,“ Let us build towns and fortify them with walls, towers, gates, and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the Lord our God, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they went ahead with these projects and brought them to completion.

So he said to the people of Judah,“ Let’s build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, with doors and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the LORD our God. We sought him and he gave us rest on every side.” So they built and succeeded.

For he said to Judah,“ Let’s build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Therefore he said to Judah,“ Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

For he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars; the land is yet before us, because we have sought Jehovah our God; we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

So he said to the people of Judah,“ Let’s build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, with doors and bars. The land is still ours because we sought the Lord our God. We sought Him and He gave us rest on every side.” So they built and succeeded.

Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about[ them] walls, and towers, gates, and bars,[ while] the land[ is] yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought[ him], and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

He said to the people of Judah:“ Let’s build these cities and fortify them with walls, towers, and barred gates. The land remains ours because we have followed the LORD our God and he has made us secure on all sides.” So they built the cities and prospered.

For he said to Judah,“ Let’s build these cities, and make walls around them, with towers, gates, and bars. The land is yet before us, because we have sought Yahweh our God. We have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered.

他還在猶大修築堅城，那些年國中太平，沒有戰事，因為耶和華賜他平安。

因為主的眼睛看顧義人，祂的耳朵垂聽他們的祈求。但主必嚴懲作惡之人。」

命令猶大人尋求他們祖先的上帝耶和華，遵行祂的律法和誡命。

把上伯·和崙與下伯·和崙建成有牆、有門、有閂的堅城，

「所有勞苦困乏、背負重擔的人啊，到我這裡來吧！我要賜給你們安息。我心柔和謙卑，你們要負我的軛，向我學習，這樣你們的心靈就必得享安息。

當時，猶太、加利利、撒瑪利亞各地的教會都很平安，得到了堅固。信徒們非常敬畏主，又得到聖靈的安慰，人數越來越多。

「我兒所羅門啊，你要認識你父親的上帝耶和華，誠心樂意地事奉祂，因為祂洞察人心，知道人一切的心思意念。倘若你尋求祂，祂必讓你尋見；倘若你背棄祂，祂必永遠丟棄你。

要以祂的聖名為榮，願尋求耶和華的人都歡欣。要尋求耶和華和祂的能力，時常來到祂面前。

此後很長時間，耶和華使以色列人四境太平，沒有戰事。約書亞年事已高，

趁著還有今日，要天天互相勸勉，免得有人被罪迷惑，心裡變得剛硬。如果我們將起初的信念堅持到底，便在基督裡有份了。聖經上說：「你們今日若聽見祂的聲音，不可像從前那樣硬著心悖逆祂。」

趁著白天，我們必須做差我來者的工作，黑夜一到，就沒有人能工作了。

那時，你們必呼求我，向我禱告，我也必垂聽。你們尋求我，就必尋見。只要你們全心尋求我，我必讓你們尋見。這是耶和華說的。我必把你們從流放之地招聚起來，使你們回到故土。這是耶和華說的。

耶穌對他們說：「光在你們中間照耀的時候不多了，你們要趁著有光的時候走路，免得黑暗來臨後，走在黑暗裡的人不知道要往哪裡去。所以你們當趁著有光的時候信從光，好成為光明的兒女。」耶穌說完後，便離開他們，隱藏起來。

希西迦發憤圖強，修築所有被毀壞的城牆，在上面建造城樓，在城外加建一道牆，並在大衛城的米羅加強防禦，製造許多兵器和盾牌。
