於是這地太平四十年。基納斯的兒子俄陀聶死了。

所羅門修築希蘭送給他的城鎮，使以色列人住在那裏。所羅門往哈馬‧瑣巴去，攻取了那地方。所羅門建造曠野的達莫，建造哈馬一切的儲貨城，又建造上伯‧和崙、下伯‧和崙，成為有牆、門、閂的堡壘城。所羅門建造巴拉和一切的儲貨城、戰車城、戰馬城，以及他所想要建造的，在耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩，和自己所治理全國中的一切建設。

耶和華使以色列人從四圍所有的仇敵中得享安寧，已經有很多日子了。約書亞年紀老邁，

他止息戰爭，直到地極；他折弓、斷槍，把戰車焚燒在火中。

那日，摩押在以色列手下制伏了。於是這地太平八十年。

「耶和華啊，願你的仇敵都這樣滅亡！願愛你的人如太陽上升，大發光輝！」於是這地太平四十年。

現在耶和華－我的上帝使我四圍太平，沒有仇敵，沒有災禍。
