Some worthless scoundrels gathered around him and opposed Rehoboam son of Solomon when he was young and indecisive and not strong enough to resist them.

Some worthless and evil men gathered around him. They opposed Solomon’s son Rehoboam. At that time Rehoboam was young. He couldn’t make up his mind. He wasn’t strong enough to stand up against those men.

and certain worthless scoundrels gathered about him and defied Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and irresolute and could not withstand them.

Then a whole gang of scoundrels joined him, defying Solomon’s son Rehoboam when he was young and inexperienced and could not stand up to them.

羅波安王自強，在耶路撒冷作王。他登基的時候年四十一歲，在耶路撒冷，就是耶和華從以色列眾支派中所選擇立他名的城，作王十七年。羅波安的母親名叫拿瑪，是亞捫人。

他們從巴力‧比利土的廟中取了七十銀子給亞比米勒，亞比米勒用這些錢雇了一些無賴匪徒跟隨他。

以色列眾人見王不依從他們，百姓就回覆王說：「我們在大衛中有甚麼分呢？我們在耶西的兒子中沒有產業！以色列啊，各回自己的帳棚去吧！大衛啊，現在你顧自己的家吧！」於是，以色列眾人都回自己的帳棚去了；

有些無賴之徒從你中間出來，引誘本城的居民，說：『我們去事奉別神吧。』那是你們不認識的，

弟兄們，在心志上不要作小孩子。但是，在惡事上要作嬰孩，而在心志上總要作大人。

有兩個無賴來，坐在拿伯對面。無賴當着百姓作證告他說：「拿伯詛咒神和王了！」眾人就把他拉到城外，用石頭打他，他就死了。

我未曾與虛妄的人同坐，也不與偽善的人來往。

因為也有許多人不受約束，說空話欺哄人，尤其是那些奉割禮的人。

羅波安來到耶路撒冷，召集猶大家和便雅憫家，共十八萬人，都是精選的戰士，要與以色列爭戰，好將國奪回再歸自己。但耶和華的話臨到神人示瑪雅，說：「你去告訴所羅門的兒子猶大王羅波安和住猶大、便雅憫的以色列眾人，說：『耶和華如此說：你們不可上去與你們的弟兄爭戰。各自回家去吧！因為這事是出於我。』」眾人就聽從耶和華的話回去，不去與耶羅波安爭戰。

凡生活窘迫的、欠債的、心裏苦惱的都聚集到大衛那裏，他就作他們的領袖，跟隨他的約有四百人。

耕種自己田地的，必得飽食；追求虛浮的，卻是無知。

邦國啊，你的君王若年少，你的羣臣早晨宴樂，你就有禍了！

我必使孩童作他們的領袖，幼兒管轄他們。

又叫兩個無賴坐在拿伯對面，作證告他說：『你詛咒了神和王。』然後把他拉出去用石頭打死。」

但不信的猶太人心裏嫉妒，聚集了些市井流氓，搭夥成羣，煽動全城的人闖進耶孫的家，要把保羅和西拉帶到民眾那裏。

這都是愚頑卑微人的兒女；他們被鞭打，趕出境外。

按時間說，你們早該作教師了，誰知還需要有人再將神聖言基礎的要道教導你們；你們成了那需要吃奶、不能吃乾糧的人。

耶弗他就逃離他的兄弟，住在陀伯地。有些無賴的人聚集在他那裏，與他一同出入。
