Some worthless scoundrels gathered around him and opposed Rehoboam son of Solomon when he was young and indecisive and not strong enough to resist them.

Some worthless and evil men gathered around him. They opposed Solomon’s son Rehoboam. At that time Rehoboam was young. He couldn’t make up his mind. He wasn’t strong enough to stand up against those men.

and certain worthless scoundrels gathered about him and defied Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and irresolute and could not withstand them.

Then a whole gang of scoundrels joined him, defying Solomon’s son Rehoboam when he was young and inexperienced and could not stand up to them.

罗波安王在耶路撒冷渐渐强盛，继续作王。罗波安登基的时候是四十一岁；他在耶和华从以色列众支派中选出来，立下他名的耶路撒冷城中，作王十七年。罗波安的母亲名叫拿玛，是亚扪人。

他们就从巴力．比利土的庙里，取了八百克银子给亚比米勒，亚比米勒用这些银子雇了一些无赖流氓，那些人就跟随了他。

以色列人见王不听他们的要求，就对王说：“我们和大卫有什么关系呢？我们和耶西的儿子并不相干。以色列人哪，各回各家去吧，大卫啊，现在只顾你自己的家吧。”于是全体以色列人都回自己的家去了。

有些匪徒从你中间出来，把本城的居民引离，说：‘我们去事奉别的神吧。’那些神是你们素来不认识的；

弟兄们，你们在思想上不要作小孩子，却要在恶事上作婴孩，在思想上作成年人。

然后两个匪徒来坐在拿伯的对面。这两个流氓当众作见证控告拿伯，说：“拿伯曾经咒诅神和君王。”众人就把拿伯拉出城外，用石头打他，把他打死了。

我决不与奸诈的人同坐，也不和虚伪的人来往。

因为有许多不受约束、好讲空话和欺骗人的，尤其是那些守割礼的人，

罗波安回到耶路撒冷，就召集犹大家和便雅悯家，共十八万人，都是精兵，要和以色列人交战，好把王国夺回，再归自己。但耶和华的话临到神人示玛雅，说：“你要告诉所罗门的儿子、犹大王罗波安，以及所有住在犹大和便雅悯的以色列人，说：‘耶和华这样说：你们不可上去，也不可和你们的兄弟交战。你们各自回家去吧，因为这事是出于我。’”于是他们听从耶和华的话，都回家，不去攻打耶罗波安。

凡是受窘迫的、负债的、心里不满的，都聚集到大卫那里，他就成了他们的领袖。那时，跟从他的约有四百人。

耕种自己田地的，也有充足的粮食；追求虚幻的，实在无知。

邦国啊，如果你的王是个孩童，而你的大臣又一早吃喝宴乐，你就有祸了。

我必使孩童作他们的领袖，使婴孩管辖他们。

又叫两个匪徒坐在拿伯的对面，作见证控告他说：‘你曾经咒诅神和君王’；然后把他拉出去，用石头把他打死。”

但犹太人嫉妒起来，招聚了一些市井流氓，纠合成群，骚动全城，冲进了耶孙的家，搜索保罗和西拉，要把他们交给民众。

他们都是愚顽人、下流人的子孙，被人鞭打逐出境外。

到这个时候，你们应该已经作老师了；可是你们还需要有人再把神道理的初步教导你们。你们成了只能吃奶而不能吃干粮的人！

耶弗他就从他的兄弟面前逃跑，住在陀伯地；有些无赖聚集到他那里，与他一起出入。
