Now look, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”

你看，是上帝在頭裏率領我們，和我們同在，他的祭司也拿着號筒大聲吹來攻擊你們。以色列人哪，不要同永恆主你們列祖的上帝交戰哦；因為你們是絕不能成功的。』

上帝偕我、為我首領、其祭司吹角、向爾發聲示警、以色列人歟、勿與爾列祖之上帝耶和華戰、蓋爾必不利達也、

上帝祐我、為我主宰、祭司吹角、其聲宏遠、以色列族歟、勿與爾列祖之上帝耶和華戰、必不得勝。

So you see, God is with us. He is our leader. His priests blow their trumpets and lead us into battle against you. O people of Israel, do not fight against the Lord, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed!”

but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it— lest you even be found to fight against God.”

The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance forever throughout your generations.“ When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.

They shall be like mighty men, Who tread down their enemies In the mire of the streets in the battle. They shall fight because the Lord is with them, And the riders on horses shall be put to shame.

“ Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it,‘ What are you making?’ Or shall your handiwork say,‘ He has no hands’?

God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.

Then seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord went on continually and blew with the trumpets. And the armed men went before them. But the rear guard came after the ark of the Lord, while the priests continued blowing the trumpets.And the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. So they did six days.But it came to pass on the seventh day that they rose early, about the dawning of the day, and marched around the city seven times in the same manner. On that day only they marched around the city seven times.And the seventh time it happened, when the priests blew the trumpets, that Joshua said to the people:“ Shout, for the Lord has given you the city!Now the city shall be doomed by the Lord to destruction, it and all who are in it. Only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are consecrated to the Lord; they shall come into the treasury of the Lord.”So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

Indeed you will go forth from him With your hands on your head; For the Lord has rejected your trusted allies, And you will not prosper by them.

“ Say,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots, Cut off its fruit, And leave it to wither? All of its spring leaves will wither, And no great power or many people Will be needed to pluck it up by its roots.

For he stretches out his hand against God, And acts defiantly against the Almighty,Running stubbornly against Him With his strong, embossed shield.

And Moses said,“ Now why do you transgress the command of the Lord? For this will not succeed.

Then Moses sent them to the war, one thousand from each tribe; he sent them to the war with Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, with the holy articles and the signal trumpets in his hand.

Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them,“ Thus says God:‘ Why do you transgress the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, He also has forsaken you.’”

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Have you an arm like God? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

And when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook.Now when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said,“ What does the sound of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” Then they understood that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp.So the Philistines were afraid, for they said,“ God has come into the camp!” And they said,“ Woe to us! For such a thing has never happened before.

Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.”

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him,“ Are You for us or for our adversaries?”So He said,“ No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him,“ What does my Lord say to His servant?”Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua,“ Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”And he said,“ Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said,“ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

“ He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The Lord his God is with him, And the shout of a King is among them.
