耶和華見其如是、則命先知示罵雅曰、彼卑以自牧、我不殲滅、乃必拯救、不假手於示撒、洩怒於耶路撒冷。

When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

The Lord saw they had made themselves humble. So he gave a message to Shemaiah. The Lord said,“ They have made themselves humble in my sight. So I will not destroy them. Instead, I will soon save them. Even though I am very angry with Jerusalem, I will not use Shishak to destroy them.

When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

When the Lord saw their change of heart, he gave this message to Shemaiah:“ Since the people have humbled themselves, I will not completely destroy them and will soon give them some relief. I will not use Shishak to pour out my anger on Jerusalem.

When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the LORD’s message came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them but will grant them a little deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

以色列人對耶和華說：「我們犯罪了，任憑你隨意待我們吧！只求你今日拯救我們。」以色列人就除掉他們中間的外邦神，事奉耶和華。耶和華因以色列人受的苦難，就心中擔憂。

第一位天使便去，把碗倒在地上，就有惡而且毒的瘡生在那些有獸印記、拜獸像的人身上。第二位天使把碗倒在海裏，海就變成血，好像死人的血，海中的活物都死了。第三位天使把碗倒在江河與眾水的泉源裏，水就變成血了。我聽見掌管眾水的天使說：昔在、今在的聖者啊，你這樣判斷是公義的；他們曾流聖徒與先知的血，現在你給他們血喝；這是他們所該受的。我又聽見祭壇中有聲音說：是的，主神－全能者啊，你的判斷義哉！誠哉！第四位天使把碗倒在日頭上，叫日頭能用火烤人。人被大熱所烤，就褻瀆那有權掌管這些災的神之名，並不悔改將榮耀歸給神。第五位天使把碗倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就黑暗了。人因疼痛就咬自己的舌頭；又因所受的疼痛，和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的神，並不悔改所行的。第六位天使把碗倒在幼發拉底大河上，河水就乾了，要給那從日出之地所來的眾王預備道路。我又看見三個污穢的靈，好像青蛙，從龍口、獸口並假先知的口中出來。他們本是鬼魔的靈，施行奇事，出去到普天下眾王那裏，叫他們在神全能者的大日聚集爭戰。（看哪，我來像賊一樣。那警醒、看守衣服、免得赤身而行、叫人見他羞恥的有福了！）那三個鬼魔便叫眾王聚集在一處，希伯來話叫作哈米吉多頓。第七位天使把碗倒在空中，就有大聲音從殿中的寶座上出來，說：「成了！」

願你將你的忿怒倒在那不認識你的外邦和那不求告你名的國度。

耶和華就後悔說：「這災也可免了。」他又指示我一件事：有一道牆是按準繩建築的，主手拿準繩站在其上。耶和華對我說：「阿摩司啊，你看見甚麼？」我說：「看見準繩。」主說：「我要吊起準繩在我民以色列中，我必不再寬恕他們。

耶和華卻因與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約，仍施恩給以色列人，憐恤他們，眷顧他們，不肯滅盡他們，尚未趕逐他們離開自己面前。

我要起來，到我父親那裏去，向他說：父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你；從今以後，我不配稱為你的兒子，把我當作一個雇工吧！』於是起來，往他父親那裏去。相離還遠，他父親看見，就動了慈心，跑去抱着他的頸項，連連與他親嘴。兒子說：『父親！我得罪了天，又得罪了你；從今以後，我不配稱為你的兒子。』

「你們去為我、為以色列和猶大剩下的人，以這書上的話求問耶和華；因我們列祖沒有遵守耶和華的言語，沒有照這書上所記的去行，耶和華的烈怒就倒在我們身上。」

只要承認你的罪孽，就是你違背耶和華－你的神，在各青翠樹下向別神東奔西跑，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的。

約哈斯懇求耶和華，耶和華就應允他，因為見以色列人所受亞蘭王的欺壓。耶和華賜給以色列人一位拯救者，使他們脫離亞蘭人的手；於是以色列人仍舊安居在家裏。然而他們不離開耶羅波安家使以色列人陷在罪裏的那罪，仍然去行，並且在撒馬利亞留下亞舍拉。亞蘭王滅絕約哈斯的民，踐踏他們如禾場上的塵沙，只給約哈斯留下五十馬兵，十輛戰車，一萬步兵。

所以主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我必將我的怒氣和忿怒傾在這地方的人和牲畜身上，並田野的樹木和地裏的出產上，必如火着起，不能熄滅。」

但他有憐憫，赦免他們的罪孽，不滅絕他們，而且屢次消他的怒氣，不發盡他的忿怒。

我所以行事與他們反對，把他們帶到仇敵之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若謙卑了，他們也服了罪孽的刑罰，我就要記念我與雅各所立的約，與以撒所立的約，與亞伯拉罕所立的約，並要記念這地。

所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和爭戰的勇力傾倒在以色列的身上。在他四圍如火着起，他還不知道，燒着他，他也不介意。

這人也必喝神大怒的酒；此酒斟在神忿怒的杯中純一不雜。他要在聖天使和羔羊面前，在火與硫磺之中受痛苦。

耶和華的話臨到提斯比人以利亞說：「亞哈在我面前這樣自卑，你看見了嗎？因他在我面前自卑，他還在世的時候，我不降這禍；到他兒子的時候，我必降這禍與他的家。」
