The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is just.”

The king and the leaders of Israel made themselves humble in the Lord’ s sight. They said,“ The Lord does what is right and fair.”

Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is righteous.”

Then the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is right in doing this to us!”

So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The LORD is righteous.”

So the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said,“ The Lord is righteous.”

So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said,“ The Lord is righteous.”

“ The Lord is righteous, yet I rebelled against his command. Listen, all you peoples; look on my suffering. My young men and young women have gone into exile. (niv)

But the Lord is righteous; he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.” (niv)

But unlike his father Manasseh, he did not humble himself before the Lord; Amon increased his guilt. (niv)

Hear and pay attention, do not be arrogant, for the Lord has spoken. (niv)

“ But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this. (niv)

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me. (niv)

To this day they have not humbled themselves or shown reverence, nor have they followed my law and the decrees I set before you and your ancestors. (niv)

His prayer and how God was moved by his entreaty, as well as all his sins and unfaithfulness, and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and idols before he humbled himself— all these are written in the records of the seers. (niv)

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” (niv)

In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors. (niv)

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (niv)

“ I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” (niv)

Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the Lord’s wrath did not come on them during the days of Hezekiah. (niv)
