城四圍共一萬八千肘。從此以後，這城的名字必稱為「耶和華的所在」。

有些無賴的匪徒聚集跟從他，逞強攻擊所羅門的兒子羅波安；那時羅波安還幼弱，不能抵擋他們。

我又說：「以色列王所羅門不是在這樣的事上犯罪嗎？在多國中並沒有一王像他，且蒙他神所愛，神立他作以色列全國的王；然而連他也被外邦女子引誘犯罪。

「亞捫人或是摩押人不可入耶和華的會；他們的子孫，雖過十代，也永不可入耶和華的會。

卻揀選猶大支派－他所喜愛的錫安山；蓋造他的聖所，好像高峯，又像他建立永存之地；

那時要將我所吩咐你們的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的舉祭，並向耶和華許願獻的一切美祭，都奉到耶和華－你們神所選擇要立為他名的居所。

你要為我築土壇，在上面以牛羊獻為燔祭和平安祭。凡記下我名的地方，我必到那裏賜福給你。

耶和華本為大！在我們神的城中，在他的聖山上，該受大讚美。錫安山－大君王的城，在北面居高華美，為全地所喜悅。神在其宮中，自顯為避難所。

當日，人念摩西的律法書給百姓聽，遇見書上寫着說，亞捫人和摩押人永不可入神的會；
