你若在我面前效法你父大衛所行的，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，謹守我的律例典章，我就必堅固你的國位，正如我與你父大衛所立的約，說：『你的子孫必不斷人作以色列的王。』「倘若你們轉去丟棄我指示你們的律例誡命，去事奉敬拜別神，

撒在石頭地上的，就是人聽了道，當下歡喜領受，只因心裏沒有根，不過是暫時的，及至為道遭了患難，或是受了逼迫，立刻就跌倒了。

又遵着摩西的吩咐在安息日、月朔，並一年三節，就是除酵節、七七節、住棚節，獻每日所當獻的祭。所羅門照着他父大衛所定的例，派定祭司的班次，使他們各供己事，又使利未人各盡其職，讚美耶和華，在祭司面前做每日所當做的；又派守門的按着班次看守各門，因為神人大衛是這樣吩咐的。王所吩咐眾祭司和利未人的，無論是管府庫或辦別的事，他們都不違背。所羅門建造耶和華的殿，從立根基直到成功的日子，工料俱備。這樣，耶和華的殿全然完畢。

主說：以法蓮哪，我可向你怎樣行呢？猶大啊，我可向你怎樣做呢？因為你們的良善如同早晨的雲霧，又如速散的甘露。
