他们献祭给鬼魔（他们不是神），就是他们从来不认识的神，是近来新兴的，是你们的列祖所不惧怕的。

耶罗波安在邱坛那里建殿，把不是利未子孙的平民立为祭司。

亚伦从他们手中接过来，用雕刻的工具雕刻，铸造了一个牛像；他们就说：“以色列啊，这就是你们的神，就是把你从埃及地领出来的那位。”亚伦看见了，就在牛像面前筑了一座祭坛，并且宣告，说：“明日是耶和华的节日。”次日清早，人民起来，就献上了燔祭，也带来了平安祭；然后他们坐下吃喝，起来玩乐。耶和华对摩西说：“你下山去吧，因为你的人民，就是你从埃及地领出来的，已经败坏了。他们很快就偏离了我吩咐他们的道路，为自己铸造了一个牛像，向它跪拜，向它献祭，说：‘以色列啊，这就是你的神，就是把你从埃及地领出来的那位。’”

于是，摩西回到耶和华那里，说：“唉，这人民犯了大罪，为自己做了金神像。

现在他们犯罪越来越多，为自己做铸像，按着自己的技巧，用自己的银子做偶像；这些都是匠人的手工。他们论到这些说：“向偶像献祭的人，可以亲吻牛犊。”

圣灵明明地说，日后必有人离弃信仰，跟从虚谎的邪灵和鬼魔的教训。

他们在何烈山做了牛犊，敬拜铸成的偶像。这样，他们用吃草的牛的像，代替了他们的荣耀的神。

他们原是鬼魔的灵，施行奇事；它们到普天下的众王那里去，叫他们在全能神的大日聚集作战。

撒玛利亚啊！我要除掉你的牛犊，我的怒气要向撒玛利亚人发作，他们要到几时才能无罪免罚呢？这牛犊是出于以色列，是匠人所做的，它并不是神，撒玛利亚的牛犊必被粉碎。

你反倒行恶，比那些在你以前的更坏；又去为自己制造了别的神和铸造偶像惹我发怒，把我丢在背后。

我是说，教外人所祭的是鬼，不是献给神；我却不愿意你们与鬼来往。你们不能喝主的杯又喝鬼的杯，你们不能参加主的筵席又参加鬼的筵席。
