我賜爾以能、可踐蛇蠍、制敵諸權、必無害爾者矣、

又曰、此族眾多、爾使之不負戴曷故。○是時法老諭督役者、與族長曰、厥後此族陶瓦、毋仍給蒭、使往自斂。所陶之瓦、其數仍如疇昔、毋容少減。彼憚服役、故號呼曰、容我往祭我之上帝。當倍其工、使之操作、無胥動以浮言。

有尾如蠍、尾上有蠆、得權傷人、凡五閱月、

我溫柔謙遜、負我軛而學我、則爾心獲安、

越至後日、爾必因所簡之王呼籲於上、惟耶和華不俯聞焉。

嚴督其役、畀以重任、艱苦其身、陶瓦、擣土、力田、所服之役、無不以嚴。○

蝗不殺人、第能困人五月、如被蠍螫、

為強暴故拘繫者、當縱之自逸、釋人重負、伸人屈抑、折人衡軛、禁食若此、我何不喜。

昔耶和華震怒厥民、以其地付爾、俾染污俗、乃爾不以矜憫為懷、使其父老、負戴重軛、

烟中有蝗徧地、上帝賜權、傷人如蠍、

爾以我命、往告哈拿尼亞云、所折者木軛也、必作鐵軛以代之。蓋我萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、我以鐵軛、置於列邦、使彼服事巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒、亦使野獸供其服役。

爾往操作、不給爾蒭、所陶之瓦、其數當竣。
