Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth.

If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took[ it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee.And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth,[ then] shall thy seed also be numbered.

The LORD hath sworn[ in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which[ is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.It shall be established for ever as the moon, and[ as] a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him[ to be] my son, and I will be his father.Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.

Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth[ part] of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish[ it] for ever, and do as thou hast said.And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts[ is] the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.And now, O Lord GOD, thou[ art] that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken[ it]: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts[ is] the God of Israel,[ even] a God to Israel: and[ let] the house of David thy servant[ be] established before thee.For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found[ in his heart] to pray before thee.And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and[ it shall be] blessed for ever.

And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go[ to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took[ it] from[ him] that was before thee:But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I[ am but] a little child: I know not[ how] to go out or come in.And thy servant[ is] in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
