眾人將上帝的約櫃請進去，安放在大衛為它搭的帳幕中，就在上帝面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

大衛在大衛城為自己建造宮殿，又為上帝的約櫃預備地方，支搭帳幕。

直等到我為耶和華尋得所在，為雅各的大能者尋得居所。」我們聽說約櫃在以法他，我們在雅珥的田野尋見它。

於是，大衛把以色列眾人從埃及的西曷河直到哈馬口都召集了來，要從基列‧耶琳將上帝的約櫃接來。大衛率領以色列眾人上到巴拉，就是屬猶大的基列‧耶琳，要將耶和華上帝的約櫃從那裏接上來，他坐在二基路伯之上，這約櫃是以他的名來命名的。
