眾人將神的約櫃請進去，安放在大衛所搭的帳幕裏，就在神面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

大衛在大衛城為自己建造宮殿，又為神的約櫃預備地方，支搭帳幕。

直等我為耶和華尋得所在，為雅各的大能者尋得居所。我們聽說約櫃在以法他，我們在基列‧耶琳就尋見了。

於是，大衛將以色列人從埃及的西曷河直到哈馬口都招聚了來，要從基列‧耶琳將神的約櫃運來。大衛率領以色列眾人上到巴拉，就是屬猶大的基列‧耶琳，要從那裏將約櫃運來。這約櫃就是坐在二基路伯上耶和華神留名的約櫃。
