and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon, for God’s tent of meeting was there, which Moses the Lord’s servant had made in the wilderness.

Solomon and the whole community went to the high place at Gibeon. That’s because God’s tent of meeting was there. The Lord’ s servant Moses had made the tent in the desert.

And Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness, was there.

Then he led the entire assembly to the place of worship in Gibeon, for God’s Tabernacle was located there.( This was the Tabernacle that Moses, the Lord’s servant, had made in the wilderness.)

正月朔、宜建會幕、

其中諸有智者作幕、以撚綫細枲布、與藍紫絳三色之縷、作幔十、上繡良工所製之基路伯、

所羅門往基遍獻祭、在彼之崇邱維大、王獻牲一千於其壇、以為燔祭、耶和華夜間見夢於所羅門曰、爾欲我錫爾者、可求之、所羅門曰、昔爾僕我父大衛、以誠實公義中正、行於爾前、爾循是而施以鴻恩、復加厚惠、賜之一子、踐乎其位、有如今日、我上帝耶和華歟、汝使爾僕、代父大衛為王、惟我幼冲、不知若何出入、爾之選民乃大、其數不可勝數、爾僕居於其中、誰能鞫此眾民、祈賜爾僕智慧之心、為民折中、而辨是非、所羅門求此、主悅其言、上帝曰、因爾求此、不求壽富、亦不求滅敵之命、惟求智慧以聽訟、我依爾所求、以聰明智慧之心錫爾、致爾之前、未有如爾者、爾之後、亦未有如爾者、爾所未求者、我兼賜爾、即豐富尊榮、爾之畢生、列王之中、無可比儗、爾若行我道途、守我典章誡命、循爾父大衛所行、我必延爾年齡、所羅門既寤、則知為夢、遂返耶路撒冷、立於耶和華約匱前、獻燔祭酬恩祭、宴其臣僕、○
