Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

It is not that we are competent in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our competence is from God.

saying,“ I am now 120 years old; I can no longer act as your leader. The Lord has told me,‘ You will not cross this Jordan.’

Help me understand Your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.

Wisdom is supreme— so get wisdom. And whatever else you get, get understanding.

Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding so that I can learn Your commands.

Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding,for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold.She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire compares with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor.Her ways are pleasant, and all her paths, peaceful.She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.

To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life. And who is competent for this?

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.
