But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

汝乃天主之人、自應避免此等之事、一心惟公義、至誠、信德、愛德、耐德、謙德、是務、

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

But you are a man of God. Run away from all these things. Try hard to do what is right and godly. Have faith, love and gentleness. Hold on to what you believe.

Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,and knowledge with self control, and self control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness,and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me— everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

She must be well respected by everyone because of the good she has done. Has she brought up her children well? Has she been kind to strangers and served other believers humbly? Has she helped those who are in trouble? Has she always been ready to do good?

So, my dear friends, flee from the worship of idols.

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,

Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

“ Listen to me, all who hope for deliverance— all who seek the Lord! Consider the rock from which you were cut, the quarry from which you were mined.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, and self control. There is no law against these things!

Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body.

This is the blessing that Moses, the man of God, gave to the people of Israel before his death:

Timothy, guard what God has entrusted to you. Avoid godless, foolish discussions with those who oppose you with their so called knowledge.

Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says: The Arameans have said,‘ The Lord is a god of the hills and not of the plains.’ So I will defeat this vast army for you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

But the servant said,“ I’ve just thought of something! There is a man of God who lives here in this town. He is held in high honor by all the people because everything he says comes true. Let’s go find him. Perhaps he can tell us which way to go.”

But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, the man of God, said to himself,“ My master should not have let this Aramean get away without accepting any of his gifts. As surely as the Lord lives, I will chase after him and get something from him.”

In assigning the priests to their duties, Solomon followed the regulations of his father, David. He also assigned the Levites to lead the people in praise and to assist the priests in their daily duties. And he assigned the gatekeepers to their gates by their divisions, following the commands of David, the man of God.

As for Moses, the man of God, his sons were included with the tribe of Levi.

“ What is that monument over there?” Josiah asked. And the people of the town told him,“ It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and predicted the very things that you have just done to the altar at Bethel!”

Once more the king sent a third captain with fifty men. But this time the captain went up the hill and fell to his knees before Elijah. He pleaded with him,“ O man of God, please spare my life and the lives of these, your fifty servants.

Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives— especially the ability to prophesy.

Then he sent an army captain with fifty soldiers to arrest him. They found him sitting on top of a hill. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, the king has commanded you to come down with us.”

So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.

Let true justice prevail, so you may live and occupy the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Then the woman told Elijah,“ Now I know for sure that you are a man of God, and that the Lord truly speaks through you.”

These were the family leaders of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, and other associates, who stood opposite them during the ceremonies of praise and thanksgiving, one section responding to the other, as commanded by David, the man of God.

And Zechariah’s colleagues were Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah, and Hanani. They used the musical instruments prescribed by David, the man of God. Ezra the scribe led this procession.
