要敬重和帮助那些真正有需要的寡妇。

我希望你们无牵无挂。未婚的男子可以专心于主的事，想着怎样讨主的喜悦。

从前那些仰赖上帝的圣洁妇女，都是以这些来妆饰自己，并顺服自己的丈夫，

女信徒的家里若有寡妇，就应该自己照顾她们，免得加重教会的负担，这样教会才能照顾那些真正无依无靠的寡妇。

耶稣讲了一个比喻来教导门徒要常常祷告，不要灰心。

你们中间谁敬畏耶和华，听从祂仆人的话？行在黑暗中、没有光的人要信靠耶和华的名，仰赖自己的上帝。

你会在心里问，‘我丧失了儿女、不再生育、流亡在外、漂流不定，谁给我生了这些儿女？谁把他们养大？我孤身一人，他们是从哪里来的？’”

“看啊，上帝是我的拯救，我要倚靠祂，不会惧怕。耶和华上帝是我的力量，是我的诗歌，祂成了我的拯救者。”

“祂从高天降下火来，焚烧我的骨头；祂在我脚前设下网罗，使我返回；祂使我凄凉孤寂，终日痛苦。

锡安的城门必悲伤、哀哭，锡安必空空地坐在地上。

难道上帝听到祂拣选的人昼夜呼求，不替他们申冤吗？难道祂会一直耽延不理吗？

耶和华说：“不生育、未生养的妇人啊，要欢唱；未曾生产的女子啊，要高歌、欢呼；因为没有丈夫的比有丈夫的儿女更多。

要靠着圣灵随时多方祷告和祈求，警醒不怠地为众圣徒祷告。

我们十二支派日夜虔诚地事奉上帝，盼望这应许能够实现。王啊！就是因为我有这样的盼望，才被犹太人控告。

祂必用祂的羽毛遮盖你，用祂的双翼保护你，祂的信实是你的盾牌和壁垒。

愿耶和华照你所行的奖赏你！你来投靠在以色列的上帝耶和华的翅膀下，愿祂厚厚地赏赐你。”

难免分心。没有丈夫的妇女和处女可以专心于主的事，叫身体和心灵都圣洁；已婚的妇女挂虑世上的事，想着如何取悦丈夫。

也可以说是借着我们彼此的信心互相激励。

自从创造天地以来，上帝永恒的大能和神性是明明可知的，虽然肉眼看不见，但透过受造之物就可以领悟，因而人类毫无借口推说不知。他们虽然明知有上帝，却不把祂当作上帝，既不将荣耀归给祂，也不感谢祂。他们的思想因此变得荒谬无用，无知的心也变得昏暗不明。

我们从祂领受了恩典并成为使徒，要带领万民信从祂，使祂的名得荣耀。
