那时，总长和总督在治国的事务上寻找但以理的把柄，为要控告他；只是找不到任何的把柄和过失，因他忠心办事，毫无错误过失。

我现在所做的，将来还要做，为要断绝那些寻机会之人的机会，不让他们在所夸耀的事上被人认为与我们一样。

婚姻，人人都当尊重，共眠的床也不可污秽，因为淫乱和通奸的人，上帝必审判。
