So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander.

So here is the advice I give to younger widows. Get married. Have children. Take care of your own homes. Don’t give the enemy the chance to tell lies about you.

So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander.

So I advise these younger widows to marry again, have children, and take care of their own homes. Then the enemy will not be able to say anything against them.

謹守，貞潔，料理家務，待人有恩，順服自己的丈夫，免得神的道理被毀謗。

凡在軛下作僕人的，當以自己主人配受十分的恭敬，免得神的名和道理被人褻瀆。

言語純全，無可指責，叫那反對的人，既無處可說我們的不是，便自覺羞愧。

他們禁止嫁娶，又禁戒食物，就是神所造、叫那信而明白真道的人感謝着領受的。

那時，總長和總督尋找但以理誤國的把柄，為要參他；只是找不着他的錯誤過失，因他忠心辦事，毫無錯誤過失。

她觀察家務，並不吃閒飯。她的兒女起來稱她有福；她的丈夫也稱讚她，說：才德的女子很多，惟獨你超過一切。

我對着沒有嫁娶的和寡婦說，若他們常像我就好。倘若自己禁止不住，就可以嫁娶。與其慾火攻心，倒不如嫁娶為妙。

智慧婦人建立家室；愚妄婦人親手拆毀。

所以，我們不可再彼此論斷，寧可定意誰也不給弟兄放下絆腳跌人之物。

我願男人無忿怒，無爭論，舉起聖潔的手，隨處禱告；

他們問亞伯拉罕說：「你妻子撒拉在哪裏？」他說：「在帳棚裏。」

只是你行這事，叫耶和華的仇敵大得褻瀆的機會，故此，你所得的孩子必定要死。」

百姓站在那裏觀看。官府也嗤笑他，說：「他救了別人；他若是基督，神所揀選的，可以救自己吧！」兵丁也戲弄他，上前拿醋送給他喝，說：「你若是猶太人的王，可以救自己吧！」在耶穌以上有一個牌子寫着：「這是猶太人的王。」那同釘的兩個犯人有一個譏笑他，說：「你不是基督嗎？可以救自己和我們吧！」那一個就應聲責備他，說：「你既是一樣受刑的，還不怕神嗎？我們是應該的，因我們所受的與我們所做的相稱，但這個人沒有做過一件不好的事。」

亞伯拉罕急忙進帳棚見撒拉，說：「你速速拿三細亞細麵調和做餅。」

你們若為基督的名受辱罵，便是有福的；因為神榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。你們中間卻不可有人因為殺人、偷竊、作惡、好管閒事而受苦。

我現在所做的，後來還要做，為要斷絕那些尋機會人的機會，使他們在所誇的事上也不過與我們一樣。

婚姻，人人都當尊重，牀也不可污穢；因為苟合行淫的人，神必要審判。

至於年輕的寡婦，就可以辭她；因為她們的情慾發動，違背基督的時候就想要嫁人。
