Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge.

If they do that, they will be judged. They have broken their first promise.

and so incur condemnation for having abandoned their former faith.

I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from Him who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—

For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

Not many should become teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive a stricter judgment,

But I have this against you: You have abandoned the love you had at first.Remember then how far you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place— unless you repent.

If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you gather together you will not come under judgment. And I will give instructions about the other matters whenever I come.
