Don’t accept an accusation against an elder unless it is supported by two or three witnesses.Publicly rebuke those who sin, so that the rest will also be afraid.

Older men are to be level headed, worthy of respect, sensible, and sound in faith, love, and endurance.

Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted.

“ If your brother sins against you, go and rebuke him in private. If he listens to you, you have won your brother.But if he won’t listen, take one or two more with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.If he pays no attention to them, tell the church. But if he doesn’t pay attention even to the church, let him be like an unbeliever and a tax collector to you.

“ But as for you, do not be called‘ Rabbi,’ because you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.

The elders who are good leaders should be considered worthy of an ample honorarium, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.

Therefore, as a fellow elder and witness to the sufferings of the Messiah and also a participant in the glory about to be revealed, I exhort the elders among you:

The Lord’s slave must not quarrel, but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach, and patient,instructing his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth.

The reason I left you in Crete was to set right what was left undone and, as I directed you, to appoint elders in every town:one who is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of wildness or rebellion.

When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.

Pay your obligations to everyone: taxes to those you owe taxes, tolls to those you owe tolls, respect to those you owe respect, and honor to those you owe honor.
