By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.

who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time— houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions— and in the age to come, eternal life.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.

“ Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,”which all concern things which perish with the using— according to the commandments and doctrines of men?These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

“ To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.“ When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies— I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.“ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,

The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever.

“ Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

So Samuel said:“ Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure.

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

For what purpose to Me Comes frankincense from Sheba, And sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, Nor your sacrifices sweet to Me.”

For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth.

But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

“ Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:“ Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.“ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.“ Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.“ Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.“ The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.“ The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.“ The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked.For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous.The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever.They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

Blessed is every one who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.When you eat the labor of your hands, You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you.Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table.Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the Lord.The Lord bless you out of Zion, And may you see the good of Jerusalem All the days of your life.Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!

“ Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God!I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices Or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me.I will not take a bull from your house, Nor goats out of your folds.For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine.“ If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High.Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places,

“ Can a man be profitable to God, Though he who is wise may be profitable to himself?

‘ Why have we fasted,’ they say,‘ and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’“ In fact, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, And exploit all your laborers.Indeed you fast for strife and debate, And to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day, To make your voice heard on high.Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the Lord?

He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience—concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.

as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.“ Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

You know the commandments:‘ Do not commit adultery,’‘ Do not murder,’‘ Do not steal,’‘ Do not bear false witness,’‘ Do not defraud,’‘ Honor your father and your mother.’”And he answered and said to Him,“ Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come— all are yours.
