“ What are your many sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fattened cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.When you come to appear before Me, Who requires of you this trampling of My courtyards?Do not go on bringing your worthless offerings, Incense is an abomination to Me. New moon and Sabbath, the proclamation of an assembly— I cannot endure wrongdoing and the festive assembly.I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am tired of bearing them.So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.“ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil,

For evildoers will be eliminated, But those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land.

But the humble will inherit the land And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

Do not be misled by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.

“ Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I am commanding you today, that the Lord your God will put you high above all the nations of the earth.And all these blessings will come to you and reach you if you obey the Lord your God:“ Blessed will you be in the city, and blessed will you be in the country.“ Blessed will be the children of your womb, the produce of your ground, and the offspring of your animals: the newborn of your herd and the young of your flock.“ Blessed will be your basket and your kneading bowl.“ Blessed will you be when you come in, and blessed will you be when you go out.“ The Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated by you; they will go out against you one way and will flee at your presence seven ways.The Lord will command the blessing for you in your barns and in everything that you put your hand to, and He will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.So all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will be afraid of you.And the Lord will give you more than enough prosperity, in the children of your womb, in the offspring of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless every work of your hand; and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will only be above, and not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you today, to follow them carefully,and do not turn aside from any of the words which I am commanding you today, to the right or the left, to pursue other gods to serve them.

Better is the little of the righteous Than the abundance of many wicked.For the arms of the wicked will be broken, But the Lord sustains the righteous.The Lord knows the days of the blameless, And their inheritance will be forever.They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, And in the days of famine they will have plenty.

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.When you eat the fruit of the labor of your hands, You will be happy and it will go well for you.Your wife will be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table.Behold, for so shall a man Who fears the Lord be blessed.The Lord bless you from Zion, And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.Indeed, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!

“ Hear, My people, and I will speak; Israel, I will testify against you; I am God, your God.I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.I will not take a bull from your house, Nor male goats from your folds.For every animal of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.I know every bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is Mine.If I were hungry I would not tell you, For the world is Mine, and everything it contains.Shall I eat the flesh of bulls Or drink the blood of male goats?Offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High;Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.Then my people will live in a peaceful settlement, In secure dwellings, and in undisturbed resting places;

“ Can a strong man be of use to God, Or a wise one be useful to himself?

‘ Why have we fasted and You do not see? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?’ Behold, on the day of your fast you find your desire, And oppress all your workers.Behold, you fast for contention and strife, and to strike with a wicked fist. You do not fast like you have done today to make your voice heard on high!Is it a fast like this that I choose, a day for a person to humble himself? Is it for bowing one’s head like a reed And for spreading out sackcloth and ashes as a bed? Will you call this a fast, even an acceptable day to the Lord?

The one who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.

which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience,since they relate only to food, drink, and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.

for His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust.

Now food will not bring us close to God; we are neither the worse if we do not eat, nor the better if we do eat.

The one who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father on His throne.

This statement is trustworthy; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and beneficial for people.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms on account of My name, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.

But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided to you.Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

You know the commandments:‘ Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’ ”And he said to Him,“ Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth.”
