Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. I have already given you the green plants for food. Now I am giving you everything.

Whoever thinks that one day is special does so to honor the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to honor the Lord. They give thanks to God. And whoever doesn’t eat meat does so to honor the Lord. They also give thanks to God.

Everything God created is good. You shouldn’t turn anything down. Instead, you should thank God for it.

Suppose I give thanks when I eat. Then why should I be blamed for eating food I thank God for?So eat and drink and do everything else for the glory of God.

All of you should honor marriage. You should keep the marriage bed pure. God will judge the person who commits adultery. He will judge everyone who commits sexual sins.

So don’t let anyone judge you because of what you eat or drink. Don’t let anyone judge you about holy days. I’m talking about special feasts and New Moons and Sabbath days.

But if you do marry someone, you have not sinned. And if a virgin marries someone, she has not sinned. But those who marry someone will have many troubles in this life. I want to save you from this.

But food doesn’t bring us close to God. We are no worse if we don’t eat. We are no better if we do eat.

Do everything you say or do in the name of the Lord Jesus. Always give thanks to God the Father through Christ.

Don’t let all kinds of strange teachings lead you astray. It is good that God’s grace makes our hearts strong. Don’t try to grow strong by eating foods that the law requires. They have no value for the people who eat them.

The person who eats everything must not look down on the one who does not. And the one who doesn’t eat everything must not judge the person who does. That’s because God has accepted them.

Some people still follow the basic spiritual powers of the world. But you died with Christ as far as these powers are concerned. So why do you act as if you still belong to the world? Here are the rules you follow.“ Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”Rules like these are about things that will pass away soon. They are based on merely human rules and teachings.It is true that these rules seem wise. Because of them, people give themselves over to their own kind of worship. They pretend they are humble. They treat their bodies very badly. But rules like these don’t help. They don’t stop people from chasing after sinful pleasures.

Some of you say,“ Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food. And God will destroy both of them.” But the body is not meant for sexual sins. The body is meant for the Lord. And the Lord is meant for the body.

God’s kingdom is not about eating or drinking. It is about doing what is right and having peace and joy. All this comes through the Holy Spirit.

Then a voice told him,“ Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”“ No, Lord! I will not!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything that is not pure and‘ clean.’ ”The voice spoke to him a second time. It said,“ Do not say anything is not pure that God has made‘ clean.’ ”

He wants all people to be saved. He wants them to come to know the truth.

I have seen what is good. It is good for a person to eat and drink. It’s good for them to be satisfied with their hard work on this earth. That’s what they should do during the short life God has given them. That’s what God made them for.

The king will not show any respect for the gods his people have always worshiped. There is a god desired by women. He will not respect that god either. He will not have respect for any god. Instead, he will put himself above all of them.

Suppose someone is worried that he is not acting with honor toward the virgin he has promised to marry. Suppose his desires are too strong, and he feels that he should marry her. He should do as he wants. He is not sinning. They should get married.But suppose the man has decided not to marry the virgin. And suppose he has no compelling need to get married and can control himself. If he has made up his mind not to get married, he also does the right thing.So then, the man who marries the virgin does the right thing. But the man who doesn’t marry her does a better thing.A woman has to stay married to her husband as long as he lives. If he dies, she is free to marry anyone she wants to. But the one she marries must belong to the Lord.

Then some boats arrived from Tiberias. It was near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord gave thanks.

As soon as you enter the town, you will find him. He’ll be there until he goes up to the high place to eat. The people won’t start eating until he gets there. He must bless the sacrifice first. After that, those who are invited will eat. So go on up. You should find him there just about now.”

After Paul said this, he took some bread and gave thanks to God. He did this where they all could see him. Then he broke it and began to eat.

All of them will be given to you for food.I am giving every green plant as food for all the land animals and for all the birds in the sky. I am also giving the plants to all the creatures that move along the ground. I am giving them to every living thing that breathes.” And that’s exactly what happened.

He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks. Then he broke them and gave them to the disciples. And the disciples passed them out to the people.

Jesus spoke to the Jews who had believed him.“ If you obey my teaching,” he said,“ you are really my disciples.Then you will know the truth. And the truth will set you free.”

Brothers and sisters, we should always thank God for you. The Lord loves you. That’s because God chose you as the first to be saved. Salvation comes through the Holy Spirit’s work. He makes people holy. It also comes through believing the truth.He chose you to be saved by accepting the good news that we preach. And you will share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
