But know this: Hard times will come in the last days.For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good,traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people.For among them are those who worm their way into households and deceive gullible women overwhelmed by sins and led astray by a variety of passions,always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.Just as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth. They are men who are corrupt in mind and worthless in regard to the faith.But they will not make further progress, for their foolishness will be clear to all, as was the foolishness of Jannes and Jambres.

There were indeed false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.

They told you,“ In the end time there will be scoffers living according to their own ungodly desires.”

Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God’s temple, proclaiming that he himself is God.Don’t you remember that when I was still with you I used to tell you about this?And you know what currently restrains him, so that he will be revealed in his time.For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one now restraining will do so until he is out of the way,and then the lawless one will be revealed. The Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of his mouth and will bring him to nothing at the appearance of his coming.The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with every kind of miracle, both signs and wonders serving the lie,and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie,so that all will be condemned— those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.

For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.So it is no great surprise if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will be according to their works.

Above all, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days scoffing and following their own evil desires,

For some people, who were designated for this judgment long ago, have come in by stealth; they are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.

Some of those who have insight will fall so that they may be refined, purified, and cleansed until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.“ Then the king will do whatever he wants. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and he will say outrageous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, because what has been decreed will be accomplished.He will not show regard for the gods of his ancestors, the god desired by women, or for any other god, because he will magnify himself above all.Instead, he will honor a god of fortresses— a god his ancestors did not know— with gold, silver, precious stones, and riches.

You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud covering the land. It will happen in the last days, Gog, that I will bring you against my land so that the nations may know me, when I demonstrate my holiness through you in their sight.

Evil people and impostors will become worse, deceiving and being deceived.

But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Now I have come to help you understand what will happen to your people in the last days, for the vision refers to those days.”

The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Go and do that.’“ Now, you see, the LORD has put a lying spirit into the mouth of these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth— as there are many“ gods” and many“ lords”—yet for us there is one God, the Father. All things are from him, and we exist for him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through him, and we exist through him.

But about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God said,‘ You must not eat it or touch it, or you will die.’”“ No! You will certainly not die,” the serpent said to the woman.“ In fact, God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, in the future you will return to the LORD your God and obey him.

Yet, I will restore the fortunes of Moab in the last days. This is the LORD’s declaration. The judgment on Moab ends here.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak on his own, but he will speak whatever he hears. He will also declare to you what is to come.

So the LORD God asked the woman,“ What have you done?” And the woman said,“ The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Yet, in the last days, I will restore the fortunes of Elam. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Now I am going back to my people, but first, let me warn you what these people will do to your people in the future.”

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was revealed in these last times for you.

No, but I do say that what they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons!

If only they were wise, they would comprehend this; they would understand their fate.

“ Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will never be harmed by the second death.

He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.He threw him into the abyss, closed it, and put a seal on it so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the thousand years were completed. After that, he must be released for a short time.

He opened the shaft to the abyss, and smoke came up out of the shaft like smoke from a great furnace so that the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the shaft.Then locusts came out of the smoke on to the earth, and power was given to them like the power that scorpions have on the earth.They were told not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green plant, or any tree, but only those people who do not have God’s seal on their foreheads.They were not permitted to kill them but were to torment them for five months; their torment is like the torment caused by a scorpion when it stings someone.In those days people will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will flee from them.The appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. Something like golden crowns was on their heads; their faces were like human faces;they had hair like women’s hair; their teeth were like lions’ teeth;they had chests like iron breastplates; the sound of their wings was like the sound of many chariots with horses rushing into battle;and they had tails with stingers like scorpions, so that with their tails they had the power to harm people for five months.They had as their king the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come with awe to the LORD and to his goodness in the last days.

In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s house will be established at the top of the mountains and will be raised above the hills. Peoples will stream to it,

Let no one condemn you by delighting in ascetic practices and the worship of angels, claiming access to a visionary realm. Such people are inflated by empty notions of their unspiritual mind.

One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as he wills.

the light of a lamp will never shine in you again; and the voice of a groom and bride will never be heard in you again. All this will happen because your merchants were the nobility of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.

See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet.For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.All these events are the beginning of labor pains.“ Then they will hand you over to be persecuted, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of my name.Then many will fall away, betray one another, and hate one another.Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.

For they are demonic spirits performing signs, who travel to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for the battle on the great day of God, the Almighty.

In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s house will be established at the top of the mountains and will be raised above the hills. All nations will stream to it,

But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with it the false prophet, who had performed the signs in its presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image with these signs. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

It deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs that it is permitted to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

He called out in a mighty voice: It has fallen, Babylon the Great has fallen! She has become a home for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, and a haunt for every unclean and despicable beast.

The rest of the people, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands to stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see, hear, or walk.

As they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

the word of the LORD came directly to the priest Ezekiel son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the Chebar Canal. The LORD’s hand was on him there.
