你們要把握時機，用智慧與外人來往。

我們不在任何事上妨礙任何人，免得這使命被人毀謗；

但那些想要發財的人就陷在誘惑、羅網和許多無知有害的慾望中，使人沉淪，以致敗壞和滅亡。

好使你們的行為能得外人的尊敬，同時也不依賴任何人。

你們不要使猶太人、希臘人，或神教會中的人跌倒；

言語健全，無可指責，使那反對的人，因說不出我們有甚麼不好而自覺羞愧。

耶穌對他們說：「神國的奧祕只讓你們知道，若是對外人講，凡事就用比喻，

你們若為基督的名受辱罵是有福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是神的靈，在你們身上。你們中間，不可有人因為殺人、偷竊、作惡、好管閒事而受苦。若有人因是基督徒而受苦，不要引以為恥，倒要因這名而歸榮耀給神。

所以，我希望年輕的寡婦嫁人，生養兒女，治理家務，不讓敵人有辱罵的把柄，

因為審判教外的人與我何干？教內的人豈不是你們要審判嗎？

各樣惡事要禁戒。

我兒啊，不可這樣！我聽到耶和華的百姓傳出你們不好的名聲。

「那裏有一個人，名叫亞拿尼亞，按着律法是虔誠人，為所有住在那裏的猶太人所稱讚。

有些人的罪是明顯的，已先受審判了；有些人的罪是隨後跟着來。同樣，善行也有明顯的，就是那不明顯的也不能隱藏。

他們說：「百夫長哥尼流是個義人，敬畏神，為猶太全民族所稱讚。他蒙一位聖天使指示，叫他請你到他家裏去，要聽你講話。」

克己，貞潔，理家，善良，順服自己的丈夫，免得神的道被毀謗。
