你们要把握时机，用智慧与外人来往。

但那些想要发财的人就陷在诱惑、罗网和许多无知有害的欲望中，使人沉沦，以致败坏和灭亡。

好使你们的行为能得外人的尊敬，同时也不依赖任何人。

你们不要使犹太人、希腊人，或神教会中的人跌倒；

言语健全，无可指责，使那反对的人，因说不出我们有什么不好而自觉羞愧。

耶稣对他们说：“神国的奥秘只让你们知道，若是对外人讲，凡事就用比喻，

你们若为基督的名受辱骂是有福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，在你们身上。你们中间，不可有人因为杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦。若有人因是基督徒而受苦，不要引以为耻，倒要因这名而归荣耀给神。

所以，我希望年轻的寡妇嫁人，生养儿女，治理家务，不让敌人有辱骂的把柄，

因为审判教外的人与我何干？教内的人岂不是你们要审判吗？

各样恶事要禁戒。

我儿啊，不可这样！我听到耶和华的百姓传出你们不好的名声。

“那里有一个人，名叫亚拿尼亚，按着律法是虔诚人，为所有住在那里的犹太人所称赞。

有些人的罪是明显的，已先受审判了；有些人的罪是随后跟着来。同样，善行也有明显的，就是那不明显的也不能隐藏。

他们说：“百夫长哥尼流是个义人，敬畏神，为犹太全民族所称赞。他蒙一位圣天使指示，叫他请你到他家里去，要听你讲话。”
