至於那些想發財的人就會陷入試探、網羅以及很多無知有害的欲望裡；這些欲望使人沉溺在敗壞和滅亡中。

好使你們在外人面前能夠行事端正，不會有什麼缺乏。

無論對猶太人、對外邦人，或對神的教會，你們都不可成為絆跌物；

要用無可指責的健全話語，使反對的人在我們的事上因沒有壞話可說，就感到羞愧。

耶穌對他們說：「神國的奧祕已經賜給你們了，但是對外人，一切都是用比喻的。

你們如果因基督的名受責罵，就是蒙福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是神的靈，住在你們身上。你們當中不可有人因殺人、偷竊、作惡、好管閒事而受苦；但如果有人因為是基督徒而受苦，他不應該感到羞恥，反要奉這名來榮耀神；

所以，我希望年輕的寡婦結婚，生養兒女，料理家務，不給反對的人辱罵的機會。

其實審判外面的人，到底與我有什麼關係呢？你們難道不該審判裡面的人嗎？

連一切惡的樣式都要遠避。

我兒啊，不要這樣，我所聽見耶和華子民傳來的風聲實在不好。

有一個名叫阿納尼亞的人，按照律法，是一個虔誠的人，受到所有住在那裡的猶太人讚許。

有些人的罪孽是明顯的，要先面對審判；而有些人的罪卻是隨後跟著的。照樣，美好行為也是明顯的，即使是那些不明顯的，也不能一直隱藏下去。

他們說：「百夫長哥尼流是個義人，敬畏神，也受到了猶太全族的讚許。他受一位聖天使的指示：要請你到他家去，聽你的話語。」

自律、貞潔、善理家務、良善、服從自己的丈夫，免得神的話語受到褻瀆。
