無論是猶太人，是希臘人，是神的教會，你們總不可使他們跌倒；

言詞要純正，無可指摘，使反對的人因為無從毀謗，就自覺慚愧。

耶穌對他們說：“神的國的奧祕，只給你們知道，但對於外人，一切都用比喻，

你們要是為基督的名受辱罵，就有福了！因為神榮耀的靈，住在你們身上。你們中間不可有人因為殺人、或偷竊、或行惡、或好管閒事而受苦。如果因為作基督徒而受苦，不要以為羞恥，倒要藉著這名字榮耀神。

因此，我願年輕的寡婦結婚，生兒育女，管理家務，不給敵人有辱罵的機會；

審判教外的人，跟我有甚麼關係？教內的人不是你們審判的嗎？

各樣的惡事要遠離。

我兒啊，不要這樣，因為我聽見的消息很不好，你們使耶和華的子民違背律法。

“有一個人名叫亞拿尼亞的，他是一個虔誠而遵守律法的人，當地所有的猶太人都稱讚他。

他們說：“百夫長哥尼流是個義人，敬畏神，全猶太族都稱讚他。他得到一位聖天使的指示，請你到他家裡，要聽你的話。”

並且自律、貞潔、理家、善良、順從自己的丈夫，免得神的道受毀謗。
