Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

There is no doubt that true godliness comes from this great mystery. Jesus came as a human being. The Holy Spirit proved that he was the Son of God. He was seen by angels. He was preached among the nations. People in the world believed in him. He was taken up to heaven in glory.

Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.

And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; He who was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the spirit, Seen of angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

And we all agree, our religion contains amazing revelation: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.

if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

“ Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”( which means, God with us).

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things were created through him and for him.And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.

This is he who came by water and blood— Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.For there are three that testify:the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.

It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him;

who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us—

looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.

He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying,“ Fear not, I am the first and the last,and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.

And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.

So Peter opened his mouth and said:“ Truly I understand that God shows no partiality,

It is beyond dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior.

And on her forehead was written a name of mystery:“ Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.”

The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary.You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the Lord God may dwell there.

The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I turned not backward.I gave my back to those who strike, and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard; I hid not my face from disgrace and spitting.But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.

when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was in the beginning with God.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.

And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the field was called in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.

While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given me by the working of his power.To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.

that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ,

And he answered them,“ To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

Therefore it says,“ When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”( In saying,“ He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth?He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,

This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,“‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit at my right hand,until I make your enemies your footstool.”’Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law,

Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way.

And the angel said to them,“ Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,“ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him.

Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God,

But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying,“ I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”And again,“ I will put my trust in him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children God has given me.”

And John bore witness:“ I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him.I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘ He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing— as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called:‘ The Lord is our righteousness.’

And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.

And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet.

I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said,“ you heard from me;for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”So when they had come together, they asked him,“ Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”He said to them,“ It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,and said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ

And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

“ But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

( for he who worked through Peter for his apostolic ministry to the circumcised worked also through me for mine to the Gentiles),

And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,“‘ I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.

who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

But the angel said to me,“ Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.

And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:concerning sin, because they do not believe in me;

But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for“ Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”

concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the fleshand was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,
