I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these instructions to you

我指望快到你那里去，所以先将这些事写给你。

我希望尽快到你那里去，所以先把这些事写给你；

Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that,

I hope I can come to you soon. But now I am writing these instructions to you.

At the same time also, prepare a place for me to stay, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you.

But I will come to you after I have gone through Macedonia– for I will be going through Macedonia–and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you can send me on my journey, wherever I go.For I do not want to see you now in passing, since I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.

And with this confidence I intended to come to you first so that you would get a second opportunity to see us,and through your help to go on into Macedonia and then from Macedonia to come back to you and be helped on our way into Judea by you.Therefore when I was planning to do this, I did not do so without thinking about what I was doing, did I? Or do I make my plans according to mere human standards so that I would be saying both“ Yes, yes” and“ No, no” at the same time?

You should know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon, he will be with me when I see you.

Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.
