亦欲婦女所衣合宜、有廉恥、能謹守、勿以編髮及金珠與珍貴之衣為飾、

信女服裝、務宜端正素樸、若辮髮、金珠、文繡、皆非所宜。

I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,

And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes.

爾荒蕪時、將何為乎、雖衣絳衣、飾金飾、以墨畫目、如此修飾、俱屬徒勞、戀愛爾者蔑視爾、索爾生命、

耶和華又曰、錫安女驕傲、行而延頸、送目流盼、碎步嬝娜、足音鏗鏘、

處女能忘其妝飾、新婦能忘其美服乎、惟我民忘我、其日無從核數、

耶戶既至耶斯列、耶洗別聞之、畫眉飾首、自牖而觀、

出金銀器皿與衣、饋利百加、又以寶物饋其兄、及其母、

曷為衣慮耶、試思野之百合花、如何而長、不勞不紡、我語汝、當所羅門榮華之極、所衣不及此花之一也、

有婦相迎、妓妝心譎、

是日也、主必除其足釧之飾、及其髻網、月筓、耳環、手釧、面帕、冠巾、足鏈、文紳、香盒、符籙、指環、鼻環、吉服、長袍、帔肩、荷囊、手鏡、衵服、纏頭之巾、被身之布、以臭代香、以索代紳、以童首代重髮、以麻布代華服、以烙印代姿容、

自製華毯、服枲與絳、

越至三日、以斯帖衣朝服、立於王宮內院、在王宮相對之所、王在宮中坐其位、對於門、

王女在宮、備極榮美、被服金繡兮、衣以錦繡、引至王前、同伴之幼女、亦相攜詣爾兮、

抑爾出何觀耶、衣毳衣者乎、衣毳衣者、在王宮也、

必復築久荒之處、建夙毀之區、營累代傾圮之邑、

我洗爾以水、盡滌爾血、沐爾以膏、衣爾以錦繡、履爾以獺皮、束爾以細枲、被爾以幣帛、以飾妝爾、著釧於手、垂鏈於項、置環於鼻、懸珥於耳、戴華冕於首、如是、爾以金銀為飾、以細枲幣帛錦繡為衣、以細麵蜜油為食、遂成豔麗、利達致得后位、我以我之炫耀錫爾、俾爾豔麗完備、名譽揚於列邦、主耶和華言之矣、○惟爾恃己豔麗、名譽洋溢、遂縱淫欲、過者則與行淫、為其所有、且以爾衣、五彩俱備、飾諸崇邱、行淫其上、若此之事、古今所不宜有、
