I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

我愿男人无忿怒，无争论，举起圣洁的手，随处祷告；

因此，我願意男人沒有忿怒，沒有爭論，舉起聖潔的手隨處禱告。

所以我願男人在各地方禱告，無忿怒無爭論地舉起虔聖的手來祈禱。

所以，我希望在各個地方的男人都舉起聖潔的手禱告，不動怒、不爭論；

故我欲人無怒無爭、舉維聖之手隨在祈禱、

我欲人拱手敬虔、毋怒毋疑、隨在祈禱、

我欲人無怒無爭、隨在舉聖潔之手而祈禱、

吾望信眾隨處祈禱；祈禱時、應舉聖潔之手、更須平心靜氣。

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

So I want the men in every place to pray. I want them to lift up holy hands. I don’t want them to be angry when they pray. I don’t want them to argue.

In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord!

So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God.

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say,‘ Here I am.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

And falling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish,saying,“ I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.

And Jesus answered them,“ Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain,‘ Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.

And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.

and said,‘ Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

And he said,“ Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”And he said to him,“ Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O Lord,

If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with evil intent.

Therefore the Lord brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon.And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

And God said to him,“ Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right,

He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.

But I, when they were sick— I wore sackcloth; I afflicted myself with fasting; I prayed with head bowed on my chest.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him.
