For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men, himself man, Christ Jesus,

蓋天主惟一、在天主世人之間、中保亦惟一、即降世為人之基督耶穌、

夫天主一而已矣、而介居天主與人之間者、亦一而已矣、則基督耶穌其人也。

Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah:

And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.

who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men;and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.

Or is God the God of Jews only? is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yea, of Gentiles also:if so be that God is one, and he shall justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us( and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people:for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.

and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better than that of Abel.

But one hath somewhere testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thou visitest him?Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; Thou crownedst him with glory and honor, And didst set him over the works of thy hands:Thou didst put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he subjected all things unto him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we see not yet all things subjected to him.But we behold him who hath been made a little lower than the angels, even Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for every man.For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, In the midst of the congregation will I sing thy praise.And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold, I and the children whom God hath given me.

and in the midst of the candlesticks one like unto a son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle.

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.

There is no umpire betwixt us, That might lay his hand upon us both.

Jesus answered, The first is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one:and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.And the scribe said unto him, Of a truth, Teacher, thou hast well said that he is one; and there is none other but he:and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is much more than all whole burnt- offerings and sacrifices.

Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.

But now hath he obtained a ministry the more excellent, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been enacted upon better promises.

one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.

So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life- giving spirit.Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual.The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.
