First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made in behalf of all people,

But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were entrusted,

God be gracious to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us— SelahThat Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations.May the peoples praise You, God; May all the peoples praise You.May the nations be glad and sing for joy; For You will judge the peoples with fairness And guide the nations on the earth. “ Also regarding the foreigner who is not of Your people Israel, when he comes from a far country on account of Your name( for they will hear of Your great name and Your mighty hand, and of Your outstretched arm); when he comes and prays toward this house,hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and act in accordance with all for which the foreigner calls to You, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name.

Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?”So the Lord said,“ If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare the entire place on their account.”And Abraham replied,“ Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am only dust and ashes.Suppose the fifty righteous are lacking five, will You destroy the entire city because of five?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it if I find forty five there.”And he spoke to Him yet again and said,“ Suppose forty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not do it on account of the forty.”Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak; suppose thirty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”And he said,“ Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord; suppose twenty are found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it on account of the twenty.”Then he said,“ Oh may the Lord not be angry, and I shall speak only this once: suppose ten are found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it on account of the ten.”

And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.

Therefore I ask you not to become discouraged about my tribulations in your behalf, since they are your glory.
