We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.

But if what I don’t desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.

Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.

Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well- pleasing, and perfect will of God.

I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commands are boundless.How I love your law! It is my meditation all day.Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for your commandments are always with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the aged, because I have kept your precepts.I have kept my feet from every evil way, that I might observe your word.I have not turned away from your ordinances, for you have taught me.How sweet are your promises to my taste, more than honey to my mouth!Through your precepts, I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.

“ You also came down on Mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who shall hear all these statutes and say,“ Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”For what great nation is there that has a god so near to them as Yahweh our God is whenever we call on him?What great nation is there that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you today?

For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good.

For I delight in God’s law after the inward man,

Therefore I love your commandments more than gold, yes, more than pure gold.Therefore I consider all of your precepts to be right. I hate every false way.
