他们自以为聪明，反成了愚昧，

但这些人好像没有理性的牲畜，生来就是要被捉拿宰杀的。他们毁谤自己所不知道的事，正在败坏人的时候，自己也遭遇败坏，

他是自高自大，一无所知，专好争辩，擅于舌战，因而生出嫉妒、纷争、毁谤、恶意猜疑，

因为也有许多人不受约束，说空话欺哄人，尤其是那些奉割礼的人。这些人的口必须堵住，因为他们贪不义之财，将不该教导的事教导人，败坏人的全家。

那么，神赐给你们圣灵，又在你们中间行异能，是因律法的行为或是因听信福音呢？

这是我惟一要问你们的：你们领受了圣灵，是因律法的行为或是因听信福音呢？

虽然常常学习，终久无法达到明白真理的地步。

你既深信自己是给盲人领路的，是在黑暗中人的光，是无知的人的师傅，是小孩子的老师，体现了律法中的知识和真理；那么，你这教导别人的，还不教导自己吗？你这宣讲不可偷窃的，自己还偷窃吗？

你们这愿意在律法之下的人，请告诉我，你们没有听见律法吗？

我再指着凡受割礼的人确实地说，他有义务遵行全部的律法。你们这要靠律法称义的是与基督隔绝，从恩典中坠落了。

由他们吧！他们是瞎子作瞎子的向导；若是瞎子领瞎子，两个人都要掉在坑里。”

同他在那里的法利赛人听见这些话，就对他说：“难道我们也失明了吗？”耶稣对他们说：“你们若是失明的，就没有罪了；但现在你们说‘我们能看见’，你们的罪还在。”

“你们怎么说：‘我们有智慧，耶和华的律法在我们这里’？看哪，其实文士的假笔舞弄虚假。智慧人惭愧，惊惶，被擒拿；看哪，他们背弃耶和华的话，还会有什么智慧呢？

尼哥德慕问他：“怎么能有这些事呢？”耶稣回答，对他说：“你是以色列人的老师，还不明白这些事吗？

“你们这瞎眼的向导有祸了！你们说：‘凡指着圣所起誓的算不得什么；但是凡指着圣所中的金子起誓的，他就该谨守。’你们这无知的瞎子啊，哪个更大呢？是金子，还是使金子成圣的圣所呢？你们又说：‘凡指着祭坛起誓的算不得什么；但是凡指着坛上祭物起誓的，他就该谨守。’你们这些瞎子啊，哪个更大呢？是祭物，还是使祭物成圣的坛呢？所以，人指着祭坛起誓，就是指着坛和坛上一切所有的起誓；人指着圣所起誓，就是指着圣所和那住在圣所里的起誓；人指着天起誓，就是指着神的宝座和那坐在上面的起誓。“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们将薄荷、大茴香、小茴香献上十分之一，那律法上更重要的事，就是公义、怜悯、信实，你们反倒不做；这原是你们该做的—至于那些奉献也不可废弃。你们这瞎眼的向导，蠓虫你们就滤出来，骆驼你们倒吞下去。

主说：“因这百姓以口亲近我，用嘴唇尊敬我，心却远离我；他们敬畏我，不过是领受前人的命令。所以，看哪，我要在这百姓中行奇妙的事，就是奇妙又奇妙的事。他们智慧人的智慧必然消灭，聪明人的聪明必然消失。”

有几个人从犹太下来，教导弟兄们说：“你们若不按照摩西的规矩受割礼，不能得救。”

于是他们回答耶稣：“我们不知道。”耶稣也对他们说：“我也不告诉你们，我仗着什么权柄做这些事。”
