我子乎、爾賴基督耶穌恩寵、當剛強、爾在眾證者前、所聞於我之道、當轉託於忠信而能訓眾之人、爾當忍苦、如耶穌基督之勁卒、凡為卒者、不以世務纏身、致可見悅於募之者、角力者、若不循規矩、則不得冠冕、

爾知提摩太已被試驗、彼如子之於父、從而事我從而事我或作與我同勞以傳福音、

書達提摩太、即於主道為我真子者、願爾由我父天主及我主耶穌基督、得恩寵矜恤平康、○

蓋我所與戰者、非血氣之人、血氣之人原文作血肉乃主宰、權勢、轄此暗世之諸君、及空中空中或作天際之惡魔、故取天主所賜之全身器械、使爾遇難日能禦敵、成就諸事後、成就諸事後或作勝一切後仍能卓立、是以當卓立、腰束以誠、胸護以義、以和平之福音為備行之履、或作以和平之福音預備為履納於足、此外以信為盾、可滅惡者之火箭、以拯救為冑、且執聖神之劍、即天主之道、又常以神而禱、或作又恆感於聖神而禱用諸祈禱懇求、且為此警醒不倦、恆為諸聖徒求、

願爾由我父天主及我主耶穌基督、得恩寵矜恤平康、○

此正教、乃循所託我之福音、即可讚可讚或作洪福之天主榮耀之福音、我謝我主耶穌基督、助我以力、以我為忠、任我以傳福音之職、

我已作善戰、已盡我程、而守信主之道、

為我在縲絏中所得之弟子所得之弟子原文作所生之子阿尼西母求爾、
