而耶穌基督彰厥恆忍、先矜恤我、為後信望永生者、得我為模楷、

然我蒙矜恤、乃因耶穌基督欲先於我身顯其一切恆忍、使後之信主得永生者、以我為模範、

然吾之所以蒙矜憐者、蓋基督耶穌欲以我為先例、以昭示其無荒不包之雅量、庶幾後之信者、聞風而興、以承永生。

But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

But for that very reason, God showed me mercy. And I am the worst of sinners. He showed me mercy so that Christ Jesus could show that he is very patient. I was an example for those who would come to believe in him. Then they would receive eternal life.

But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.

But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.

Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate His extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

But here is why I was treated with mercy: so that in me as the worst, Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote unto you;

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus:

And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.

to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:

He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt- offering, and I will go: peradventure Jehovah will come to meet me; and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to a bare height.

when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed( because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.

For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:

And Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that they did evil more than did the nations whom Jehovah destroyed before the children of Israel.And Jehovah spake to Manasseh, and to his people; but they gave no heed.Wherefore Jehovah brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.And when he was in distress, he besought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.And he prayed unto him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you- ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

His prayer also, and how God was entreated of him, and all his sin and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up the Asherim and the graven images, before he humbled himself, behold, they are written in the history of Hozai.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

And the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly:that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

For thy name’s sake, O Jehovah, Pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.

but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have life in his name.

that whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life.For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.

and by him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.And Jesus said unto him, To- day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To- day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:

But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner.I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:

He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
