今所存者三、信也、望也、愛也、其中惟愛為大、

亦由之以信而進於今所止之恩、且以望上帝之榮為樂、不第此也、亦樂於患難、蓋知患難生強忍、強忍生練達、練達生希望、而希望不啟羞、緣上帝之愛、由賜我之聖神灌溉我心、

故勿去爾果毅、蓋有大賞焉、爾須忍、致爾既行上帝旨、則得其所許、

惟爾乃蒙選之族、王室之祭司、維聖之國、特設之民、俾彰召爾出幽暗入奇光者之德、

真誠之道、上帝之能、義之干戈在於左右、

仰望耶和華之拯救、而靜俟之、斯為美兮、

蓋爾素為暗、今宗主而為光、當如光明之人而行、夫光明之實、乃在諸善、與義與誠也、

當取上帝全備鎧甲、俾能守禦於艱難之日、迨諸事既成而卓然、故宜屹立、腰束以誠、胸護以義、以和平福音為所備之履、而著於足、又取信以為盾、能悉滅惡者之火箭、且取濟救之冑、及聖神之劍、即上帝道也、以諸祈禱籲懇、感於聖神而恆求、於此儆醒不倦、為諸聖徒祈、

我心何為而抑鬱、中懷何為而煩擾、企望上帝、彼和顏而施救、為我上帝、我仍頌之兮、

蓋我儕以神由信、而待所望之義、

祝頌我主耶穌基督之父上帝、依其鴻慈、由耶穌基督自死復起、重生我儕、致獲維生之望、而得不壞不玷不衰之業、為爾存之於天、由上帝之能、以信而得守護、致蒙拯救、將顯於季世者、

願我主耶穌基督與我父上帝、即愛我而以恩賜我永慰善望者、

願平康與愛與信、由父上帝及主耶穌基督歸爾、

試觀父以如何之愛賜我儕、俾得稱為上帝子、我儕誠是也、斯世不識我、因其不識彼也、愛友乎、今我儕為上帝子、將來若何、尚未顯明、所可知者、彼顯著時我克肖之、蓋將見之、如其固然也、且凡於彼有此望者、則潔己如彼之潔然、
