但兄弟非在幽暗、故其日不能如盜臨爾、

惟我兄弟。既不處黑暗之中、屆時當不致襲爾如不速之客。

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.

Brothers and sisters, you are not in darkness. So that day should not surprise you as a thief would.

But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief.

But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief;

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief:

But you, brothers, are not in the dark, for this day to overtake you like a thief.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the darkness for the day to overtake you like a thief would.

But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. (niv)

However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you: (niv)

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, (niv)

But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your ancestors?“ Then they repented and said,‘ The Lord Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.’” (niv)

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. (niv)

Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. (niv)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (niv)

All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. (niv)

then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die. (niv)

Otherwise, the avenger of blood might pursue him in a rage, overtake him if the distance is too great, and kill him even though he is not deserving of death, since he did it to his neighbor without malice aforethought. (niv)

“ Since the days of Gibeah, you have sinned, Israel, and there you have remained. Will not war again overtake the evildoers in Gibeah? (niv)
