要你們每個人知道怎樣在聖潔、尊貴中持守自己的身體，

欲爾各知以聖以尊、自安其室、

各宜貞潔自守、

欲爾各人知以聖潔貴重守己之身、身原文作器

各宜自愛、守身如玉、

that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable,

He wants all of you to learn to control your own bodies. You must live in a way that is holy. You must live with honor.

that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—

that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

so that each of you knows how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

that each of you know how to possess his own body in holiness and honor,

that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

But if they do not have self-control, they should marry, since it is better to marry than to burn with desire.

Don’t you know that your bodies are a part of Christ’s body? So should I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of a prostitute? Absolutely not!

Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker partner, showing them honor as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship.

Marriage is to be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

But because sexual immorality is so common, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman should have sexual relations with her own husband.

Flee sexual immorality! Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body.

Or has the potter no right over the clay, to make from the same lump one piece of pottery for honor and another for dishonor?And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience objects of wrath prepared for destruction?And what if he did this to make known the riches of his glory on objects of mercy that he prepared beforehand for glory—

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for this man is my chosen instrument to take my name to Gentiles, kings, and Israelites.

David answered him,“ I swear that women are being kept from us, as always when I go out to battle. The young men’s bodies are consecrated even on an ordinary mission, so of course their bodies are consecrated today.”

I am using a human analogy because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you offered the parts of yourselves as slaves to impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification.

Therefore God delivered them over in the desires of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves.

Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable— if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy— dwell on these things.

Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also those of wood and clay; some for honorable use and some for dishonorable.So if anyone purifies himself from anything dishonorable, he will be a special instrument, set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
