因為主必親自從天上降臨，有發令的吶喊，有天使長的聲音，有上帝的號筒，那些在基督裏死了的人必先復起，

彼時號令一出。總領天神一呼、天主之號角一鳴、主乃自天降臨、而已亡之信徒、既先復活；

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

看吧，他駕雲而來，眾目必看見他；連刺他的人也必看見；地上萬族都必因他而捶胸號咷。是一定的，一定的。

請注意，我把一件奧祕告訴你們：我們不是都要長眠着，乃是都要改變，就在一剎那、一眨眼之間、末次號筒的時候；號筒必響，死人都必得甦活起來、不朽壞；我們呢、也必改變。

是各人按着適當的等次：初熟果子是基督；後來是屬基督的，就在他御臨的時候；

那時人子的迹象必顯現在天上；那時地上萬族都必捶胸號咷，必看見人子帶着能力和大榮耀、駕着天雲來臨。他必用大號筒差遣他的使者，將他揀選的人、由四方、從天這邊到天那邊、都聚攏來。

人子將要帶着他父的榮耀同他的天使來臨，那時他必照各人的行為報應各人。

『當人子在他榮耀裏、眾天使跟着他來臨的時候，他要坐在他榮耀之寶座上。

當那日子必有大號角聲吹出，那些迷失於亞述地的、和那些被趕散於埃及地的、都必來，在聖山上、在耶路撒冷、敬拜永恆主。

說：『加利利人哪，你們為甚麼站着向天看望呢？這從你們中間被接上、升天的耶穌，你們見他怎樣往天上去，他也必怎樣來臨。』

永恆主必顯現在他們以上；他的箭必射出如閃電；主永恆主必吹號角，乘南方的旋風而行。

上帝上去，有歡呼聲跟着；永恆主上去，有號角聲隨着。

其餘的死人等到那一千年完了才得以活過來。這是頭一次的復活。在頭一次的復活有分的是有福的，是聖別的！第二次的死沒有權柄轄制這些人；他們必做上帝和基督的祭司，與他一同掌王權一千年。

到了第三天、早晨的時候，在山上有雷轟、閃電和濃雲；號角聲強大的很，營裏人民盡都顫抖。

天使長米迦勒跟魔鬼爭辯、為摩西的身體而辯論時、尚且不敢加以毁謗之定罪，只說：『願主責備你』。

耶穌對他說：『你說的是；然而我告訴你們，你們這就要看見人子坐在「權能」的右邊了，還要駕着天雲來臨呢。』

弟兄們，論到我們主耶穌基督之御臨、和我們之聚集歸他、

但主的日子總必來到；來時就像賊一樣。當那日、天必轟然一聲地過去，星辰必因烈熾而被消毁，地和地上被造之物就不見了。

在雅各中人不見有禍患，在以色列中人也沒看見患難：永恆主他的上帝與他同在，有向王歡呼的聲音在他們中間。

錫安子民哪，盡情快樂吧！耶路撒冷子民哪，歡呼吧！看哪，你的王來到你這裏，他得勝而勝利！謙卑謙卑地騎着驢，騎着驢駒、母驢的崽子。

我觀看，就聽見一隻鷹在天頂點上飛着，大聲說：『由於其餘號筒的聲音、就是三位天使將要吹的、住在地上的人有禍啊！有禍啊！有禍啊！』

我聽見從天上有聲音說：『你要寫下來：「在主裏面死去的人有福啊！」』聖靈說：『從今以後、他們歇了他們的勞苦而得安息；他們所作的工就永跟着他們。』

有一主日、我身在靈境中、聽見有大聲音在我後面像號筒的聲音

他已吞滅死亡到永遠；主永恆主必擦去萬人臉上的眼淚，又從全地上除掉他人民的羞辱；因為這是永恆主說的。當那日子必有話說：『看哪，這是我們的上帝；我們素來等候他拯救我們的；這是永恆主；我們素來等候他；讓我們因他的拯救而歡喜快樂吧。』

眾民見了雷轟、閃電、角聲和山上冒着煙；就懼怕，直發顫，遠遠地站着。

大山哪，你算得甚麼？在所羅巴伯面前你必成為平地；他必搬出一塊頂上石頭，就有歡呼聲說：「它多壯觀！壯觀啊！」』

永恆主在他的軍隊前頭發出聲音；他的營兵極大；那執行他命令的是強盛者。永恆主的日子很大；極其可畏懼：誰能擔受得起呢？

萬族之民哪、你們都要拍掌；要用呼勝的聲音歡呼頌讚上帝。
