For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God,

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

We always thank God for all of you, making mention of you constantly in our prayers.We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rejoice before the LORD your God in the place where he chooses to have his name dwell— you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, the Levite within your city gates, as well as the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow among you.

Destroy completely all the places where the nations that you are driving out worship their gods— on the high mountains, on the hills, and under every green tree.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and affliction, we were encouraged about you through your faith.For now we live, if you stand firm in the Lord.

For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?

Then King David went in, sat in the LORD’s presence, and said, Who am I, Lord GOD, and what is my house that you have brought me this far?What you have done so far was a little thing to you, Lord GOD, for you have also spoken about your servant’s house in the distant future. And this is a revelation for mankind, Lord GOD.What more can David say to you? You know your servant, Lord GOD.

Then the Levites— Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah— said,“ Stand up. Blessed be the LORD your God from everlasting to everlasting.” Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.

But the righteous are glad; they rejoice before God and celebrate with joy.

David replied to Michal,“ It was before the LORD who chose me over your father and his whole family to appoint me ruler over the LORD’s people Israel. I will dance before the LORD,

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in Christ’s triumphal procession and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of him in every place.
