For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?

夫我所望所樂所誇之冕何耶、非爾於我主耶穌臨時、而在其前乎、

蓋我所望、所喜、所詡、若戴冠冕者、何哉、非爾於吾主耶穌基督臨日乎、

蓋我儕所望所喜所誇之冕何哉、豈非爾曹於我主耶穌基督降臨時、得立於其前乎、

嗚呼、於主耶穌臨格時、孰為吾之希望、吾之欣慰、吾之榮冕乎？非爾也耶？

What is our hope? What is our joy? When our Lord Jesus returns, what is the crown we will delight in? Isn’t it you?

For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?

After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what will be our proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you!

For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?

For who is our hope, or joy or crown of pride, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Or is it not indeed you?

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?

For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Is it not you?

For what[ is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?[ Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

For who is our hope or joy or crown to boast of before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not of course you?

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn’t it even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.

For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

“ Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.

You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

while we wait for the blessed hope— the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage— with great patience and careful instruction.

“ Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and“ every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth“ will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen.

the twenty- four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:“ You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value the one who speaks what is right.

to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,which God will bring about in his own time— God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

Indeed, you are our glory and joy.

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his mighton the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters,

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done—by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.

She will give you a garland to grace your head and present you with a glorious crown.”

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—
