For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews

弟兄们，你们曾效法犹太中在基督耶稣里神的各教会；因为你们也受了本地人的苦害，像他们受了犹太人的苦害一样。

弟兄们，你们与犹太地区上帝的各教会，就是在基督耶稣里的各教会，有同样的遭遇，因为你们也受了同胞的迫害，像他们受了犹太人的迫害一样。

弟兄们，你们与犹太地区神的各教会，就是在基督耶稣里的各教会，有同样的遭遇，因为你们也受了同胞的迫害，像他们受了犹太人的迫害一样。

弟兄姊妹，你们的遭遇和犹太地区基督耶稣的众教会的遭遇一样。你们受到了自己同胞的迫害，他们也受到了犹太人的迫害。

弟兄们，你们好像犹太地在基督耶稣里神的众教会一样，他们怎样遭受犹太人的迫害，你们也照样遭受同族人的迫害。

弟兄们，你们效法了犹太地区在基督耶稣里属神的各教会，因为你们也受了自己同胞的苦害，就像他们受了犹太人的苦害那样。

弟兄們，你們曾效法猶太中在基督耶穌裏神的各教會；因為你們也受了本地人的苦害，像他們受了猶太人的苦害一樣。

弟兄們，你們與猶太地區上帝的各教會，就是在基督耶穌裏的各教會，有同樣的遭遇，因為你們也受了同胞的迫害，像他們受了猶太人的迫害一樣。

弟兄們，你們好像猶太地在基督耶穌裡神的眾教會一樣，他們怎樣遭受猶太人的迫害，你們也照樣遭受同族人的迫害。

因為弟兄們，你們也像在猶太地基督耶穌裏的上帝眾教會那樣了。因為你們在自己同國人手下所受的苦、也正如他們在猶太人手下所受過的一樣。

弟兄們，你們效法了猶太地區在基督耶穌裡屬神的各教會，因為你們也受了自己同胞的苦害，就像他們受了猶太人的苦害那樣。

兄弟乎、爾嘗效在猶太屬基督耶穌之上帝會、以爾受苦於同族、猶彼於猶太人也、

兄弟效猶太宗基督耶穌上帝諸會、彼由猶太人受苦、爾由同族受苦亦然、

兄弟乎、爾曹曾效在猶太信基督耶穌之天主諸教會、蓋爾曹受苦於同族、如彼受苦於猶太人然、

兄弟乎、爾等實堪與猶太奉耶穌基督之諸教會、並駕齊驅。蓋爾等所遭受於爾國人之手者、與彼等所遭受於猶太人者、如出一轍也。

Brothers and sisters, you became like the members of God’s churches in Judea. They are believers in Christ Jesus, just as you are. Your own people made you suffer. You went through the same things the church members in Judea suffered from the Jews.

For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea. For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews,

And then, dear brothers and sisters, you suffered persecution from your own countrymen. In this way, you imitated the believers in God’s churches in Judea who, because of their belief in Christ Jesus, suffered from their own people, the Jews.

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, since you have also suffered the same things from people of your own country, just as they did from the Jews

For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, for you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews,

For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans,

For ye, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judæa in Christ Jesus: for ye also suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they did of the Jews;

For you, brothers, became imitators of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, since you have also suffered the same things from people of your own country, just as they did from the Jews

For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they[ have] of the Jews:

For you became imitators, brothers and sisters, of God’s churches in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, because you too suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they in fact did from the Jews,

For you, brothers, became imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus; for you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, even as they did from the Jews

In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know.

Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated.You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.

And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches.In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.

I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.

You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered

Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

But when the Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was preaching the word of God at Berea, some of them went there too, agitating the crowds and stirring them up.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

When Paul and his companions had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue.As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead.“ This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he said.Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.But other Jews were jealous; so they rounded up some bad characters from the marketplace, formed a mob and started a riot in the city. They rushed to Jason’s house in search of Paul and Silas in order to bring them out to the crowd.But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some other believers before the city officials, shouting:“ These men who have caused trouble all over the world have now come here,and Jason has welcomed them into his house. They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is another king, one called Jesus.”When they heard this, the crowd and the city officials were thrown into turmoil.

And Saul approved of their killing him. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you.

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest

Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.

It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them.He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword.When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread.

Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that broke out when Stephen was killed traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, spreading the word only among Jews.

But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.
