As you know, we exhorted, comforted, and implored every one of you, as a father does his own children,

你们也晓得，我们怎样劝勉你们，安慰你们，嘱咐你们各人，好像父亲待自己的儿女一样，

正如你们知道，我们待你们好像父亲待自己的儿女一样。

正如你们知道，我们待你们好像父亲待自己的儿女一样。

你们也知道，我们对待你们就像父亲对待自己的孩子一样。

正如你们知道的，我们是怎样好像父亲对待儿女一样对待你们各人：

正如你们知道我们怎样待你们每一个人，就像父亲待自己的儿女那样；

你們也曉得，我們怎樣勸勉你們，安慰你們，囑咐你們各人，好像父親待自己的兒女一樣，

正如你們知道，我們待你們好像父親待自己的兒女一樣。

正如你們知道，我們待你們好像父親待自己的兒女一樣。

你們也知道，我們對待你們就像父親對待自己的孩子一樣。

正如你們知道的，我們是怎樣好像父親對待兒女一樣對待你們各人：

你們也知道、我們怎樣待你們每一個人，就像父親待自己的兒女一般：既勸勉着你們，又撫慰又誓求着你們，

正如你們知道我們怎樣待你們每一個人，就像父親待自己的兒女那樣；

爾亦知我儕如何視爾各人、猶父之於子、勸勉、安慰、指證、

爾知我勸慰、丁寧爾眾、猶父之勵厥子、

爾亦知我儕勤勉安慰爾中各人、如父於子然、

蓋爾等固知我等待爾人人、一如為父者之待其子、獎掖慰勉、耳提面命、

For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,

You know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

For you know how, like a father with his children,

And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

As you know, like a father with his own children,

just as you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you as a father would his own children,

as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children,

as ye know how we dealt with each one of you, as a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging you, and testifying,

As you know, like a father with his own children,

As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as a father[ doth] his children,

As you know, we treated each one of you as a father treats his own children,

I don’t write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children.For though you have ten thousand tutors in Christ, you don’t have many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, I became your father through the Good News.

I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

I command you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his Kingdom:preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.

But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother cherishes her own children.

You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;

Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.

Set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and commission him in their sight.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, your days approach that you must die. Call Joshua, and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting.

David said to Solomon his son,“ Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed; for Yahweh God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of Yahweh’s house is finished.

Listen, sons, to a father’s instruction. Pay attention and know understanding;for I give you sound learning. Don’t forsake my law.For I was a son to my father, tender and an only child in the sight of my mother.He taught me, and said to me:“ Let your heart retain my words. Keep my commandments, and live.Get wisdom. Get understanding. Don’t forget, and don’t deviate from the words of my mouth.Don’t forsake her, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you.Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.Esteem her, and she will exalt you. She will bring you to honor when you embrace her.She will give to your head a garland of grace. She will deliver a crown of splendor to you.”Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many.I have taught you in the way of wisdom. I have led you in straight paths.When you go, your steps will not be hampered. When you run, you will not stumble.

The words of king Lemuel; the revelation which his mother taught him.“ Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows!Don’t give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings.It is not for kings, Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, nor for princes to say,‘ Where is strong drink?’lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the justice due to anyone who is afflicted.Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish, and wine to the bitter in soul.Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate.Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy.”

Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.

Now therefore, sons, listen to me. Pay attention to the words of my mouth.

I command you before God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified the good confession,

My son, don’t walk on the path with them. Keep your foot from their path,

Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sober minded.

They sent a message to Joseph, saying,“ Your father commanded before he died, saying,‘ You shall tell Joseph,“ Now please forgive the disobedience of your brothers, and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ Now, please forgive the disobedience of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread.

But commission Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.”

Those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers, but rather let them serve them, because those who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,

Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed.

My son, if you will receive my words, and store up my commandments within you,

My son, don’t forget my teaching; but let your heart keep my commandments:

Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

My son, keep my words. Lay up my commandments within you.

Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters and to be well- pleasing in all things, not contradicting,

My son, if you have become collateral for your neighbor, if you have struck your hands in pledge for a stranger,

My son, if sinners entice you, don’t consent.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom. Turn your ear to my understanding,that you may maintain discretion, that your lips may preserve knowledge.

When he had gone through those parts, and had encouraged them with many words, he came into Greece.

But I exhort you, brothers, endure the word of exhortation; for I have written to you in few words.

Say these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one despise you.
